Piedad Silva Montano

A funeral service for Piedad will be held Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Mead Mortuary, 36930 Irwin Rd, Barstow, California 92311. A burial service will occur Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 12:30 PM at Mt View Memorial Park, 37067 Irwin Rd, Barstow, California 92311.

Piedad Silva Montano passed into the Lord's Arms on Tuesday, October 26th, at the age of 96. She went Peacefully into God's hands. Piedad or "Pide" as everyone knew her was born in Abeytas, New Mexico on October 14, 1926 to Rumaldo and Delfina Silva.

At a dance in Abeytas, Pide met the love of her life Ernesto Montano, they were married in 1946. Piedad was a loving and devoted wife to Ernest until his passing in 2009. Pide and Ernesto moved to Barstow in 1950 where Piedad worked as a cook in various restaurants in Barstow.

Piedad is preceded in death by her sons, Salomon, Frank, Paul and her daughter Lupe and her grandsons Andrew Montano, Alex Mesa and great grandson Francisco Almanza.

Piedad is survived by her son Robert Montano, his wife Rena, her daughter Maryanna Charlie and her husband Edison, her sisters Rumaldia Savvadra, and Filmoena Chavez, 12 Grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 10 great, great grandchildren.
