

RAUL MIRANDA October 31, 1984 - March 15, 2016 Raul Miranda 31, of Barstow CA passed away in a tragic accident on the morning of March 15, 2016 in Newberry Springs, CA. Raul was born on October 31, 1984 in Chihuahua, Juarez, Mexico to Lucia Padilla and moved to Barstow in 1987 with his family, he attended local schools and Barstow High School. Raul is survived by his wife Heather, daughter Alyssa, Mother Lucia (Mama Lucy) Padilla, Step-Father Jose (Chino) Alvarez, all of Barstow, brother, Jose Guadalupe, of Mexico, sisters, Magda Miranda of Florida, Angelica Miranda of Los Angeles, Milagros Miranda, of Tijuana, Mexico and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Raul is also survived many close friends. Raul was currently employed at Solar City in Victorville as the Lead Installer and was the Crew Leads’ “right hand man”. In recent years Raul worked as a Contractor Supervisor and Team Lead at Fort Irwin, Twentynine Palms and Camp Pendleton. Right out of High School, Raul also worked as a roofer for Sundance Roofing and R. Sanchez Roofing and did a bit of construction on the side in Barstow. Raul was known as a hard worker and for his exceptional work ethic, his attention to detail, his uncanny wit and wonderful sense of humor which was contagious. He was a dedicated father, son, family man and friend. Raul adored his 11 year old daughter Alyssa, she was his absolute pride and joy and “his Princess” and “Daddys girl”. In his spare time, Raul could be found working out at AnyTime Fitness gym “Making Gains” as he would put it. Raul liked to play soccer as well as watch Alyssa play soccer. Raul was an avid car enthusiast and the founder of the car club “Team Illusive” in Barstow. Raul was a friend to all and will be truly missed by his family, friends, co-workers and by everyone who knew and loved him. Rosary and viewing for Raul will be held at St. Josephs Catholic Church at 505 E. Mountain View on Monday April 11, 2016 at 6PM. A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at St. Josephs Catholic Church at 505 E Mountain View on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 10:00 AM with viewing beginning at 8:30 AM. A reception will be held immediately after at Mt. St. Joseph Noonan Hall. The Miranda family would like to extend their sincere gratitude and appreciation to everyone for their outpouring of thoughts, prayers and generous support during this very difficult time.
