

Those who knew Martin will remember a life marked by quiet generosity, a gentle presence, and a kind-hearted way of meeting others—steady in spirit and sincere in the care he showed to family, friends, and all who were welcomed into his circle.
Martin is survived by his daughter Brenda and husband Gilberto Avalos; sons Daniel and Julie Luna, and Jimmy Luna Sr and Alice Deleon; 15 grandkids; and 13 great grandkids. He is also survived by his sisters Sara Rodriguez, Ramona Morones, Vicky Ramon, Sally Hernandez, and Janie Chalambaga; and brothers Jesse Luna Sr, Tony Luna, Roy Luna, Manuel Luna, Jimmy Luna, and Richard Luna.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Luna and Martina Torres Luna; sister Gloria Luna; brothers John Luna Sr, Jose Luna Jr, and David Luna; son Ricky Luna; and grandson Martin Vasquez Luna Jr.
Visitation will be held at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home, 2079 Hwy 71 East, Bastrop, TX 78602, on May 21, 2026, beginning at 9:00 am, with words of comfort by Pastor Henry Torres and family expressions by Julisa Luna beginning at 10:30am. A Committal Service will follow at Upper Cedar Creek Cemetery, 1467 TX-21, Cedar Creek, TX 78612, on May 21, 2026, departing from the funeral home at 12:00 pm.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Luna, Manuel Luna, Richard Luna, Frank Luna Sr, Alexander Luna Sr, Albert Ramon, Tony Ramon, and Ralph Gonzales.
Reception will follow at Frank Luna’s house, 111 Running Rope, Cedar Creek, Texas, 78612.
