She was born April 10, 1956 in New York, NY to late Agnes Fickenworth. As an adult, Annie moved to Southern California and resided in Fontana, San Bernardino, and for the last decade, in Beaumont. She worked as a legal secretary and was an active member of The Diabetic Youth Foundation. Having lived with type 1 diabetes since the age of eleven, the foundation was close to her heart.
With her upbeat and vivacious personality, Annie made friends wherever she went. Her laughter could be heard across a noisy room and was contagious to all. Always wearing a smile, Annie was the life of any party and her positive mental attitude could make any problem seem less significant. For Annie, there was no obstacle some family time, good food, and a good glass of red wine couldn’t fix. She adored her family, particularly “the kids” (her son, grandchildren, nieces and nephews). She loved them all as her own children and would do anything in her power for them without hesitation. Her passing leaves a void in our hearts and she will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure to know her.
She is survived by her husband, John LeMaster; son, Jeremy LeMaster; grandchildren, Jasmine, Elijah, and Gabriel LeMaster; sister, Phyllis Janssen; brothers and sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Agnes; sisters, Rosemary and Teresa; and stepfather, George.
A service in celebration of Annie’s life will be held Saturday, August 15th at 11am at Weaver Mortuary in Beaumont located at 1177 Beaumont Ave. Beaumont, CA 92223. In lieu of flowers, if desired, the family asks that donations be made to The Diabetic Youth Foundation in Annie’s name.
