

Bernie Grunewald went home to be with the Lord on May 14th, 2015 from Loma Linda University Medical Center, Loma Linda California after losing his battle with AML and Multiple Myeloma.
He was born August 12th, 1952 in Graz, Austria and moved to Canada with his mother and father, then as a teenager moved to Beaumont and lived in the pass area until his death.
He worked for Omni Engineering for 30 years. He enjoyed being a Boy Scout Leader. He loved to camp with our many friends from the breakaway RV club and also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing Santa for many organizations in the pass area.
Bernie was preceded in death by his father Karl. He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Vicki; his mother Edith Grunewald of Cherry Valley; Son Bryan and (Stephanie) Grunewald of Madera, California, and James Grunewald of Cherry Valley; step daughters Terri Aragon of Redlands, California, and Trina and( Ed) Brown of Cherry Valley; his five grandchildren Destiny and Delaney Aragon, Jonah and Lindsey Brown, and Samuel Grunewald; His brother Norman and (Laura) Grunewald of Beaumont; sisters Margaret and (Mike) Schell of Sand Point, ID, Evelyn Dagmar and Mike O’Donnell of Ft. Mojave, AZ. ; Nephews Kevin, Chris, Justin Grunewald and Ian and Peter Schell, and Ryan O’Donnell; and Niece Kathie Schell.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Noble Creek Park, Beaumont, California on Sunday June 7th at 1:00pm. In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to kids cures foundation, 906 Beaumont Ave, Beaumont, California 92223. His wishes were to pay it forward.
