

Mrs. Beverly Jean Evans was a modest woman, quiet and observant in her ways. She was trustworthy and traditional in her approach to her life and in her relationships. She was tough-minded with the kind of “stick to it” attitude that earned the respect of all who knew her. She was also a woman who was meticulous, carefully disciplined, and orderly in virtually everything she undertook. Realistic about life, she was always at the ready, prepared to take on responsibility.
She was the daughter of Floyd and Gertrude Lenderman. Beverly grew up all over being a GI brat.
Beverly was raised with one sibling. She had a mentally disabled brother, Floyd, Jr. Beverly had a lot of responsibility at a young age, as she was responsible for caring for her brother .
As a young girl, Beverly had a number of interests. She was curious about the world around her and was often eager to explore it. Beverly was an active child who took part in tennis. In her spare time she liked comic books.
A typical teenager, Beverly had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. She enjoyed some classes more than others, having favorite subjects and teachers. Beverly did not have much time for outside interests as she had to take care of her mentally disabled brother while her mother worked.
Beverly met and married a widower, George Elliott Evans, who had two daughters, Teresa and Lisa. Empathic and loyal, Beverly was committed to making her new family happy.
Fortunately, Beverly enjoyed what she did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, Beverly worked diligently and did her best to succeed in her career. Her primary occupation was data processing manager. She was employed for 20 years with Claremont Graduate School. After retiring she went into real estate and had an office in Wrightwood, California. Beverly always sought to be a team player, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done.
Beverly enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. Her favorite pursuits were painting pictures,making jewelery and shopping on QVC. She was a very talented artist. She was content to enjoy her favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share her interests with others. She was also a very generous person. She always bought lots of gifts and things for people. She also enjoyed decorating cards when she sent them to people.
Beverly enjoyed traveling and time away on vacations. It was a chance for her to renew and relax, to visit new places and experience new things. Favorite vacations included cruises.
Beverly was a lover of animals and cherished her pets. One of her favorites was a dog show poodle. Her family was rounded out by her cat.
After retirement her new life involved relocating to Wrightwood, California, where she opened her own real estate office. In retirement, she found new pleasure in cooking. Even in retirement, Beverly continued to stay in touch with her old friends while making plenty of new acquaintances. Beverly was active in her new community and felt fulfilled with the opportunities retirement offered her. She and George relocated again 8 years ago, this time to Sun Lakes in Banning, California.
Beverly passed away on August 18, 2010 at San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital in Banning, California. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, George Evans; her brother, Floyd Lenderman, Jr.; her two stepdaughters, Teresa (Chester) Coccia and Lisa (Lucas) Dorr; and three stepgrandchildren. Memorial services were held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 26, 2010 at Weaver Mortuary Chapel 1177 Beaumont Avenue, Beaumont, California 92223. Beverly was laid to rest in a private family inurnment.
Simply stated, Beverly was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Beverly leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Mrs. Beverly Jean Evans.
