Eduardo List was born February 7, 1928 in Kansas City, Missouri, Jackson county and was the youngest son of Felipe List and Avelina Loya List. Eduardo List and Carol Amador List were married February 7, 1947 on the worst storm of the season back in 1947. Isaac Amador was the best man for Eduardo List and Eucevia Alvarado was the maid of honor for Carol Amador List. They were married for 67 years before Eduardo passed away and it was a marriage of love, forgiveness,, grace, mercy and commitment to the very end.
Eduardo served his country proudly joining the Merchant Marines at 16 years old and later joined the U.S. Navy on February 10, 1945, at 17 years old and was honorably discharged on December 18, 1946. Ed and Carol moved to California for work and the prospect of a better life, leaving their family behind in Missouri during the summer of 1952.
Ed became a minister in 1969 helping a local church before leaving and starting Faith Bible Church of the Valley, located in Fontana, California. Although Ed was busy doing many things for the Lord, serving the community, studying to obtain his diploma and graduate, becoming a minister and working two jobs, His greatest joy in life was his family. Nothing else mattered to him and his love for his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren was the focus of his life.
Eduardo and Carol List have three children; Nina List Rodriguez, spouse Ruben Rodriguez, Charles Edward List, spouse Geri List and Matthew Joel List, spouse Gloria List. His grandchildren and great grandchildren celebrate their grandpa's life with honoring him today and the legacy he left behind. Ed passed to glory and saw the Lord on March 29, 2014, early in the morning with his wife by his side and his children and grandchildren loving him to the very end. Our husband, dad, grandpa was all about love in action and he fully demonstrated that love by accepting, embracing, speaking, laughing, kidding and sometimes being a little pushy with his love for all the people he considered "family".
