Gregory Keith Smith

Gregory Keith Smith passed into eternal glory on March 12, 2026, after a lengthy battle with multiple heath issues. He spent his 40-year career with Southern California Edison as an electrical engineer and then a major accounts executive. He served as a volunteer chaplain with multiple law enforcement agencies for more than 45 years, primarily with the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department. A member of the International Conference of Police Chaplains, Greg served at Ground Zero in New York City following the tragic events of 9/11. He was an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America and served for many years as a troop leader.

Greg is preceded in death by his father, Sydney Weston Smith, and mother, Gertrude Cora (Elschlager) Smith. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Anna; son, Keith, and his wife, Anne, with their daughters, Kate and Zoey; and daughter, Carrie, with her daughters, Angeli and Grace Hernandez.

Greg was a loving servant of God who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A Celebration of his Life will be held at Fellowship Church in Beaumont (650 Oak Valley Pkwy) on Saturday , May 23, 2026, at 2pm. All are welcome to attend as we remember and celebrate Greg.
