He was born May 7, 1957 in Ensenada Mexico to Dagoberto Velazquez and Consuelo Moñoz de Velazquez. As a young boy, he grew up very close to his seven siblings and cousins. He came to the United States when he was 14 years old. He did odd jobs until he found his niche in landscaping. He was a Greenskeeper for 27 years. Jesus settled down in Banning with his wife and there they raised a family. He was a great provider and an extremely hard worker. Jesus took much pride in his cars, fruit trees and flower gardens. In his spare time, he would tinker with furniture restoration and DIY projects. He was most joyful when he spent time with time with his grandchildren and getting his family to his year round cookouts.
Jesus was a generous man and often would open doors of his home for those who needed a helping hand. He recently achieved his dream of becoming a U.S. citizen. He is survived by his wife, 3 children, 5 grandchildren, mother and 7 siblings. Our family would like to extend our gratitude to all the nurses and doctors at San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital for their attentiveness, care and comfort that they gave our loved one Jesus. He will always hold a place in our hearts and will be greatly missed.
