Kenneth Mahle passed away March 23, 2024, in Banning California. He was born in Little Fork, Minnesota on June 27, 1941, to Helmer and Cola (Herron) Mahle. They lived in International Falls, Minnesota before moving to San Bernardino, California when he was two years old.
Ken Graduated from San Bernardino High School in 1959 and joined the US Marine Corps in 1960. He was stationed in Yermo, CA for two years where he played football and learned to weld. In 1961 Ken married Janell Raguse. They were married for 20 years and raised their three children on a small family farm in a beautiful home they built themselves in Reche Canyon. He worked for thirty-nine years as a welder in Southern California, Nevada and Arizona and was a member of the Los Angeles Local 92 Boilermakers Union until his retirement in 2001.
Ken was always on an adventure. In his younger years he was a professional trap shooter. He competed in local, state and national tournaments. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He later became more interested in sail boating, skiing, hiking, biking and playing poker. Ken loved to host huge parties and travel with his friends from the Sitzmarkers Ski & Social Club. Ken loved to travel and never met a stranger. He never missed an opportunity to visit with his friends and family all over the country on his numerous road trips.
Ken is survived by his three children, Michael Mahle of Washington, Suellen Jackson (Gary) of California and Joanne Ossanna (Doug) of Arizona, six grandchildren Jeremiah Mahle, Daniel Mahle (Michele), Paul Mahle, Mark Ossanna (Whitney), Keri Ossanna (Kyle), and Matthew Jackson (Sarah) Six great grandchildren and his lifelong friend Janell Karabatsos. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Dennis Mahle and his sister Sheryl Bland.
