

Mildred "Millie" Buckley-Birdsall, 97, passed away November 11, 2011 of natural causes in Hemet, California. Millie was born November 5, 1914, in Mukilteo, Washington to Jack and Charlotte Burley. She was one of four siblings, Peggy, Kenneth "Shrimp" and James.
Millie was the wife of Edward H. Buckley and enjoyed many wonderful years until he passed away in 1974. They were the proud parents of their only son, James E. Buckley. Millie was the Grandmother of four and the Great Grandmother of thirteen. Millie remarried and was fortunate to spend many amazing years with Kenneth Birdsall.
Millie spent the majority of her life as a dedicated homemaker, but she did enjoy working some years as a secretary for an insurance company and Western Union during World War II.
She was privileged to call many places home and enjoyed living in Washington (Mukilteo), Alabama and Southern California (Los Angeles, Beaumont, Homeland and Valley Center).
Millie was a Baptist, whose interests included family, gardening and playing rummy. She devoted much of her time to family members and enjoyed listening to the music of Glenn Miller, Guy Lombardo and Nat King Cole. She enjoyed southern BBQ with family and had a fondness for Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Visitation Friday, November 18, 2011, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, with Funeral Service at 1:00 PM, both at Weaver Mortuary, 1177 Beaumont Avenue, Beaumont, California. Mildred Buckley-Birdsall was laid to rest next to her husband, Edward H. Buckley, at Mountain View Cemetery, 1315 Edgar Avenue, Beaumont, California.
Arrangements were entrusted to Weaver Mortuary, Beaumont, California.
