Paul was born on September 6, 1959, to Paul and Birdena Girkin in San Bernardino, CA. Paul attended school in Chino, CA and began his career in the compressor industry at the age of 18. He continued working in the compressor industry until his last day.
Paul met his wife when he was 17 years old, and married her on September 14th, 1979 at the age of 20. They have been married for 43 years, and he was just as much in love with her as he was when they were young. They welcomed their son, Timothy, in November, 1979, their daughter, Jana, in August of 1982 and their last daughter, Diana, in May of 1985. Paul loved being a dad. He coached baseball teams, took the kids fishing, river rafting, and on many unforgettable trips and car rides.
Paul loved being a dad, but he loved being a grandpa even more. He had seven grandchildren Emily, Benjamin, Isabella, Ava, and Violet Nguyen, Logan, Lincoln Brassfield. His face lit up when the kids were in the room and could talk a person's ear off about his babies. He loved to watch videos or look at pictures of the kids and he always got excited to spend time with them. There isn't anything he wouldn't have done for them.
Paul was a loving son, husband, brother, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Girkin, his kids and their spouses, Tim & Hope Girkin, Russ and Jana Brassfield, Dave and Diana Nguyen, his seven grandchildren and his two little sisters, Debbie and Kimber Girkin, who he loved so much.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.weaver-mortuary.com for the Girkin family.
