

Phil Kelleher, 44, of Cherry Valley, California, passed away peacefully with his wife and children by his side on Friday, February 17, 2012, following a courageous battle with ALS. He was born on December 10, 1967, in Key West, Florida, to Mike Kelleher and Kathy Russell.
Phil graduated from Banning High School in 1986. He then attended several colleges and universities before earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Work Force Education from Southern Illinois University. His love for the fire department was spread among many agencies including, Banning City Fire Department, California Department of Forestry and Riverside Community College Fire Science Program. He achieved his ultimate professional goal when he became the Chief of the Morongo Band of Mission Indians Fire Department.
Phil will be missed by his loving wife and best friend, Missy; children, Brett and Tyler as well as his extended family, many friends and members of the zoo in his home. Phil lived for the adrenaline rush, and enjoyed riding motorcycles, surfing and teasing the ones he loved. He will be remembered for his charming smile, witty sense of humor and caring heart.
A Memorial Services with full honor guard will be held, Friday, February 24, 2012, at 1:00 PM, at Fellowship in the Pass Church, 650 Oak Valley Parkway, Beaumont, California.
