

Born in Lipa City, Batangas, Philippines on December 21, 1940, Rodolfo was the son of the late Baldomero Reyes and Amelia Reyes.
Rodolfo is survived by his wife, Criselda Reyes, and his siblings, Julieta Reyes; Perla Sanez; Amelita Robles; and Luchi Resurreccion. He also leaves behind his daughters, Amelia Reyes and Nina Reyes; his granddaughters, Amina Phal and Elena Nguyen; and his great-grandson, Elijah Phal; as well as his stepchildren, Angel Anido; George Cabunag; Gippy Cabunag; Katrina Cabunag; Gilbert Cabunag and their families. Rodolfo will also leave behind beloved nieces and nephews in the Philippines and United States.
Rodolfo (known to loved ones as “Dupong” or “Rudy”) will forever be remembered for his unlimited enthusiasm for hunting, guns and archery. He competed in numerous shooting competitions throughout his life, setting records and winning championships. He spent countless hours in the great outdoors hunting to old age, proudly killing thousands of deer, as well as turkeys, rabbits, pheasants and ducks. Gifted with an ear for music, he loved to play the piano and listen to classical music. He was a talented artist and drew for fun. He also enjoyed working around the house, completing home improvement and garden projects with skill and fervor.
Rodolfo dedicated his professional life of over 38 years to civil engineering, working on transit systems in Manila, New York, Chicago, Baltimore, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Atlanta, Dallas and Washington, DC. He spent the majority of his career working for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) as a track engineer, where he was responsible for design and maintenance for the trackwork used in the metrorail system. His contributions to WMATA projects were honored with awards throughout his tenure.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, spending time with family brought endless joy to Rodolfo’s heart. He provided unconditional love and care to family in the US and the Philippines. He was also a caring and loyal friend. Those close to Rodolfo were touched by his charisma and passion for life. He will be remembered by his warmth, humor, strength and generosity. He will be missed by many, but his spirit will live on in memories and in stories about his vibrant life.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance at the Viewing & Celebration of Life at Weaver Mortuary and Crematory, 1177 Beaumont Avenue, Beaumont, CA 92223 on Thursday, September 11, 2025, between 3:00 - 7:00 pm PST. Refreshments will be served. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church, 1234 Palm Avenue, Beaumont, CA 92223 on Friday, September 12, 2025, between 10:00 - 11:00 am PST.
