Ruth Reed, 91, of Banning, California was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, July 30, 2018. Ruth was born on July 25, 1927 to John and Sophia Moore in Shintown, Pennsylvania, and was the 12th child of 13 children. Ruth was a resident of Banning for 28 years. She previously lived in Costa Mesa, California with her husband and children for 30 years. Ruth was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, crocheting, traveling and in recent years playing Candy Crush.
Ruth is survived by her daughter Joyce Reed of Banning; daughter Vicki Langdale (Kevin) of Riverside; son Robert Reed (Gloria) of Kansas City, MO; and 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and sister Alice Holt of Schertz, TX. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Robert Reed.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at 2:00pm at Weaver Mortuary, 1177 Beaumont Ave., Beaumont, California 92223. A brief service and burial will occur on Monday, August 20, 2018 at 11:00 am at Riverside National Cemetery 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, California 92518.
