Stanley Schultz of Beaumont, California passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014 at the age of 82. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years Diane Schultz, 4 children, Randall Schultz (wife Kathi) of Scottsdale, Arizona, Stephanie Schultz of San Francisco, Sherri Schultz Vels (husband Dan) and Stephen Schultz (wife Mary) of Santa Clarita. Grandchildren Jason Vels, Christopher Vels and Katherine Schultz all of Santa Clarita. He was a devoted husband, loving and giving father, grandfather and loyal friend.
He was born on a farm in Iowa to parents Harold and Gladys Schultz (both deceased), married his high school sweetheart in Mason City, Iowa where they together embarked on a fruitful and rewarding journey that relocated them to several Midwest states and ultimately west to California. He flourished in his chosen profession and retired after 32 years of progressive and successful years of service that culminated as Senior Vice President of Store Operations for Mode O'Day clothing stores, managing over 800 nationwide stores.
Stanley had a great sense of humor, kind smile and generous spirit always offering a helping hand to those in need. He had many interests and hobbies over the years, but none proved more constant than his ardent affection for playing card games. He attributed this affection to his maternal grandmother who taught him how to count as a toddler by playing various card games. He was a faithful servant of God, active with his church and served most recently as a Eucharistic minister at St. Frances X Cabrini.
The Lord has taken another angel home believing his earthly work to be complete. He will be missed by the many people he touched, but no one will miss him more than his loving family who are thankful and proud to have called him husband, father and grandfather.
Arrangements under the direction of Weaver Mortuary, Beaumont, CA.
