Stephen Havacko, born March 7, 1929, died at his home in Banning on Sept. 7, 2013. Stephen served in the Korean War. His hobbies were restoring cars, playing golf, poker, dancing and spending time with his friends and family. Stephen will be remembered for his passion for fixing and restoring anything that required creativity and fixing. He was always willing to help his friends. His laughter and smile was an integral part of his personality. He will be sorely missed.
Stephen is survived by Mary Huffman; his children, Rick , Jeanine (Greg), Larry, and Jeff (Char); and grandchildren, Ian and Erin.
Funeral services will take place on Sept. 18 with mass at 9 a.m. at Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church in Banning. Internment services will follow the mass at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., at 11:30 a.m., staging area three.
