Thomas "Thom" Dale Lucas

Thomas Dale Lucas was born January 24, 1963 to Dale and Sandee (Reynolds) Lucas in Altadena California. He grew up and attended school in Cerritos California.Thom’s childhood was filled with many adventures. He was able, along with his beloved sister April, to travel to all fifty states.

Thom got married in 1986 and was blessed with a daughter Tiffany (Bacon) in 1988 and a son TJ in 1992.

Thom was proud to have served for the Orange County Sheriff's Department for 27 years. During his extensive career in law enforcement, Thom received a medal of courage for his work on a bank robbery case.

After his retirement in 2012, Thom followed in his father’s footsteps by working in the insurance industry and continued to travel extensively. An avid car and motorcycle enthusiast, Thom enjoyed the open road riding on his Harley and cruising in his Chevrolet Camaro. Thom also loved wrestling and training his German Shepherd, Targa.

Thom Lucas passed away at Kaiser Permanente in Riverside, California on August 27, 2020 with his beloved fiancee, Stacy Feller, at his side.

Thom was survived in death by his mother, Sandee of Banning, California, daughter Tiffany Bacon (and Richard) and son, TJ of Moreno Valley, California. Thom was preceded in death by his hero and father, Dale Lucas and beloved sister, April Lucas.

Thom will be remembered as a patriotic, loving individual with a kind and generous spirit and a quick wit.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association in his honor.
