

At around age 17 he joined the United States Navy where he proudly served in the Korean War, and also married the love of his life, Ruby Nell Watters.
Together, “Bill” & Ruby had 3 daughters; Debby, Sandy and Kristy.
He held a few different job positions during his life. His first job was at a movie theater in Long Beach, CA. Also in Long Beach, he worked for Todd’s Shipyard. The majority of his working life he was in some level of law enforcement. From a police officer in Seaside, Oregon to California Youth Authority and his last position being a correctional officer and drug counselor at Chino Men’s State Prison. During his retired years he served proudly with the Beaumont, CA, Post 233 Veterans of Foreign War.
Some of his favorite things in life were fishing, camping, hunting, target shooting, watching hula dancing, reading his Bible, and Peanut Butter! His greatest most recent friends were found at his church, Valley Baptist in Yucaipa, CA and at Kafe Royale restaurant in Calimesa, CA, and of course the VFW. During his Navy days, his very best friend was his long-time buddy, John Collins, who unfortunately he lost several years ago.
On March 1, 2016 his wife, Ruby went home to be with the Lord and now today, she has been joined by Bill, and we can know for certain they both joyfully celebrate the presence of God together.
Bill leaves behind 3 daughters, Debby, Sandy and Kristy, 2 sons in law, Roy and Gary, 5 grandsons’; Chris, Dustin, Danny, Bryan, Brandon, and one granddaughter, Angela along with their spouses. As well, he leaves behind his great grandchildren, Juliann, Emily, Dante, Bryan Jr., Jackson, Daisy and Mila. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law, June Michael, and several nieces and nephews.
