Yuri Glen Avery, born on October 25, 1967, in San Bernardino, California, embarked on an extraordinary journey through life. His spirit of adventure and faith began early, as at the tender age of three, he journeyed with his family to Belize, Central America, for a two-year mission. This early experience ignited a lifelong passion for helping others and exploring new horizons.
Returning to Belize at 12, Yuri embraced the joys of riding horses, fishing, and deepening his connection with God. These formative years were filled with cherished memories that shaped his kind and compassionate nature.
Yuri's professional life was as diverse and dynamic as his character. He earned his real estate license, delved into advertising, and excelled as a legal secretary. Among his many roles, working as an installer for West Coast Windows stood out as his favorite. His travels across the United States, covering over a million miles, were not just about work—they were about connecting with people and experiencing the vast beauty of the country.
Yuri was more than his accomplishments; he was a beacon of love and kindness. A devoted son, a remarkable brother, a caring uncle, and a loyal friend, he touched the lives of all who knew him. His love for studying the Bible and discussing God's word was infectious, inspiring many to deepen their own faith. For the past six years, his role as an Associate at Walmart brought joy to countless faces, and his warm presence will be profoundly missed.
His intellectual curiosity knew no bounds, extending to theology, homeopathic medicine, and eschatology. Yuri's joyful and content demeanor, regardless of life's challenges, was a testament to his unwavering faith and resilient spirit.
Though we find solace in knowing that Yuri is in heaven, his departure leaves an indelible void. His legacy of love, faith, and kindness will continue to inspire us all.
