Alex Eugene Cole

Born May 14, 1934 in Eccles, West Virginia. Mr. Cole served in the US Army. Alex was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of VFW and Teamstars Union. He enjoyed dancing, fishing, singing, boxing, hunting, playing guitar and driving.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters Wilma Dancy and Dora Lee Harvey.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Steve Cole and wife Trina of Morgantown, Robert Cole and wife Margo of Morgantown and Chris McQuide of Salem, WV; daughter, Laura Weddle and husband Curtis of Baltimore; brothers, Donald Cole of Knoxville, TN, Cleo Cole of Glen Morgan, Lonnie Cole of Beckley, Bill Cole of Louisville, KT and Jerome Cole of Newport News, VA; nieces, Della Cole of Glen Morgan and Rene Atkinson of Glen Morgan; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; companion, Shirley Anderson of Mt. Hope.

Friends may gather with the family Sunday, February 5th, 2017 from 12-1pm at Blue Ridge Funeral Home.

A memorial service will he held 1pm, Sunday, February 5th, 2017 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Hall officiating and Rhonda Jenkins Brown as the soloist.
