Her husband Charles E. Bolen preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son, Rick Edward Shrewsbury; a brother, Baxter O. Shrewsbury; a sister, Janie Smith; two grandchildren, Beverly Snow (Dre), and Terri Martin (Scott). She also has five great-grandchildren.
When she was in her twenties she and Chuck lived in Washington, DC where she worked as an information operator for C&P Telephone and later at the Library of Congress. She later moved to Beckley where she spent the rest of her life.
She enjoyed fashion, food, walking, and of course spending time with her grandchildren.
