Carol was born in Itmann, West Virginia on May 24, 1943. She reached eternal peace with her parents Dorothy and Elmer Osborne, her father Delford Oliver, her brother Jefferson Oliver and her daughter Sonja St. Clair.
Carol's life can be encapsulated by these 6 words: God, family, church, friends, travel, and accessories. She was married to her high school sweetheart for 64 years - all that know William St. Clair will know the dedication this took. He has lovingly supported her through her recent health concerns - Thank you Dad!
As her greatest earthly assets, she dearly loved her 5 children - Wanda and Mark Lewis of Buffalo, Kentucky, Stacy and Hans Baber of Woodruff, South Carolina, Shannon and Roy Cherian of Wentzville, Missouri, and Nathan and Christina St. Clair of Scarbro, West Virginia. Carol exuded pride for her 28 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Carol passionately worshiped her Lord and Savior and served side by side in ministry with her mother Rev. Dorothy Osborne for many years. As an executive secretary she worked diligently for the Mine Safety and Health Administration and retired following 55 years of service. During her time in the workforce, she also held positions in the Navy, Air Force and other agencies - a remarkable career totaling more than 58 years of government employment. In all of these places throughout her life she shared the light of the Lord and a smile that blessed those around her with feelings of joy, hope and happiness. She was a pillar of strength and her power was in faithful prayer - if you knew Carol, she prayed for you and if you let her - she prayed with you.
Carol's legacy will live on through the generations she leaves behind and the memories held by all those who had the privilege of knowing her. The family deeply appreciates your support, thoughts and prayers as they navigate this uncharted territory of life. She is profoundly missed but forever remembered.
