Blue Ridge Funeral Home Beckley, WV Charles Creed Charles Creed went to a better place, September 16, 2015 at his home in Mabscott, WV. He was born December 10, 1957 at Wayne, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ramona Mae Hanson Creed; father, George Howard Creed; sister, Sarah Elizabeth Canfield, and best friend Randy Thurman from Beckley. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Lee Browning Creed from Beckley; surviving siblings, sister, Brinda Minnick from Baltimore, MD; an Aunt, Carol Yancey from Beckley; brothers, David (Kim) Creed from Beckley; Chris (Ida) Canfield from Flat Top, WV, Tommy Creed from Baltimore; two nephews, Joshua Creed from Beckley, Mathew Creed from Baltimore, MD; two nieces, Megan and Ashley Canfield from Flat Top; “special nieces,” Nikki Meade, Katie Northup; “special nephew,” Blake Northup, and great-nephew Zeke Fitzko from Princeton. Charles was a huge NASCAR fan, dirt track racing and drag racing fan. Charles was employed by Crossroads Chevrolet as a parts consultant; he also worked at Lewis Chevrolet for 20+ years. Charles believed in living his life with a strong, positive mental attitude and “can’t” was not a word he liked to use. He believed that family and friends were the most important things in life and he loved “spending time and making memories” with them. His work ethics were top notch. Things got done and done right. We would like to extend invitations to anyone wishing to join us in a Celebration of Charles life on Sunday, September 27 at Grandview State Park shelter #2 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM. We will be sharing photos, memories, and a few tears also. He will be sadly missed.
