

CHESSIE L. EDMONDS Chessie L. Edmonds, 94, of St. Albans, formerly of Beckley entered into her Heavenly home on Saturday, February 7, 2015 following a long illness at Eastbrook Nursing Home, Charleston, WV. She was preceded in death by her parents, Milt and Mary Cook, four sisters, four brothers, and her loving husband, Rev. Ernest T. Edmonds following 70 years of love and happiness. Chessie was a loving mother, wife, and dedicated to serving God and assisting as a Pastor’s wife. She loved to sing praises and tell Bible stories to children. She always spoke kindly of others, and opened her heart and home to others and never asked for anything. Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, Larry Edmonds and wife, Joyce of Scott Depot and Lyle Edmonds and companion, Debbie Walker of Saint Albans; two grandchildren, Larry Edmonds, Jr and wife, Vandy of Saint Albans and Mark Edmonds of Charleston; two great grandchildren, Ashleigh Edmonds of South Charleston and Selena Edmonds of Huntington, and a sister, Mae McCormick of Saint Albans. Services to celebrate the life of Chessie L. Edmonds will be held 1:00PM Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, 5251 Robert C. Byrd Drive, Beckley with Calvary Assembly of God’s Senior Pastor, Pastor John K. Jordan and Senior Adults Pastor, Pastor George Mandakunis officiating. Following the services Chessie will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens beside her loving husband, Ernest.
