Doris was a retired phlebotomist and medical assistant. She was a loving mother and MomMaw who will be missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Edith Hatfield and brother Rondal Willard Hatfield, all of Beckley, WV.
Doris is survived by her husband of 72 years, Donald Hughes of Corinne, WV; daughters, Deloris Reed (John) and Michelle Keen (Tim) of Winter Haven, FL; grandchildren, Jessica Tennison (Jason), of Greencastle, PA, Joseph Neil Reed (Andrea) of St. Petersburg, FL and Sarah Elizabeth Reed of Pinellas Park, FL; great grandchildren, Levi Tennison, of Greencastle, PA, and Sidney Fennell-Reed of St. Petersburg, FL; sister, Faye Lowe (John) of Prospect, TN; sisters-in-law, Betty Willey (Bob) of Beaver, WV, Ruth Ann Youngblood (Don) of Pottsboro, TX and Patsy Hughes Skeens of MS; niece, Kara Schafer (Mike) of Prospect, TN; nephews, Ronnie Lee Hatfield, (Debbie) of Laurens, SC, Jerry Wayne Hatfield (Kim) Of Wilmington, NC, Kevin Brian Lowe (Tonya) Sanford, FL; cousin, Eunice Vincent (Dave) of Charisney,

Doris and Donald attended the Pierpoint Freewill Baptist Church. Services will be held 1:00PM Friday, January 10, 2025, at Pierpoint Baptist Church with Rev. Butch Acord officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the beginning of the service at 12:00 noon. Entombment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum of Faith, Beckley.
