

Ernest was born to Monroe and Arzula Bays Adams on Farley Hill, WV.
He enjoyed spending time at his camp on the Greenbrier River with his family and friends, as well as fishing and hunting. Ernest was an accomplished gardener and food preserver. He enjoyed watching and feeding birds as well as making bird feeders. He particularly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Ernest was a good man and a very hard worker. He retired after 25 years as a coal miner and mining electrician.
Ernest is survived by his wife of 67 years, Noreene Smith Adams; his sister Patricia Adams Fink and husband Gary Fink of Beckley WV; his daughter Susan Adams-Jager and husband Derek Jager of Raleigh NC; his daughter Angela Adams Mahbooba and husband Munther Mahbooba of Raleigh NC; his son Kent Adams and wife Candy Stover Adams of Mt Airy NC; and his son John Adams of Coal City WV.
His grandchildren include Zaynab Mahbooba, Zahra Mahbooba, Hyder Mahbooba and Michael Iwaniszek.
Preceding him in death are his brothers Clyde, Dempsey, William (Willie) and Wesley Adams, his sisters Helen Adams Houck and Reva Adams Basham and his daughter-in-law Judy Rose of Oak hill WV.
The family would like to extend our gratitude for the generosity and support provided to us by Patricia Adams Fink of Beckley WV, Mona Sue Adams Kester of Princewick WV, Stevie Adams of Epperly Hill WV and Lisa Adams Wills of Farley Hill WV.
The service will be held at the Blue Ridge Funeral Home in Beckley WV on Monday, February 19th. Visitation will begin at noon with the service at 1:00 p.m., followed by burial at the Farley Hill Cemetery on Farley Hill, WV.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Southern West Virginia.
