Mr. Gerald Clifford Dotson

Jerry loved teaching and playing music, gardening, and spending time with his family. Gerald was a U.S. Army Veteran, a Coal Mine Surveyor, Party Chief, and Blasting Engineer

In addition to his parents, Gerald is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Lee Richardson Dotson; sons, Troy Donald Dotson, Sidney Herald Dotson; brothers, Sidney, Donald, David, and Larry Dotson.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Gerald and Heather Dotson of Kernersville, NC, Keith Dotson of Oak Hill, WV; daughters, Jennifer Trent of Oak Hill, WV, Megan Rhodes and husband, Colton of Shady Spring, WV; sisters, Nancy Bostaph and husband, Dan of PA, Betty James and husband, Butch of Oak Hill; brothers, Bobby Dotson and wife, Judy of Oak Hill, WV, Roger Dotson and wife, Janice of Florida, Charlie Dotson and wife Debbie of Virginia; granddaughters, Hailey Trent and James Sears of Oak Hill, WV, Payton Dotson, Corrin Dotson, Abby Dotson; grandsons, Waylon Rhodes, Cole Rhodes; great-granddaughters, Sadie Sears and Jesalyn Sears.

The family will hold a private graveside service at a later date.
