Gorgeous Sylvia Stewart

Mrs. Stewart was preceded in death by her parents Alexander Ross and Gladys Day, her loving husband Leroy Stewart of 40 plus years, two sons; John and Michael Stewart, one brother and four sisters.

Gorgeous retired as a teacher after 22 years. She was also a minister at Free and Independent Holiness Church for 20 year and was also a member at Faith Temple of Deliverance Church. She enjoyed hobbies such as cooking, gardening, spending time with her children, grandchildren family and friends.

She leaves behind seven sons; Leroy (Sharon) Stewart Jr., John (Catherine) Stewart, Edward (Lisa) Stewart, Kenny (Edith) Stewart, Courtney (patti) Stewart, Jeremiah (Annisa) Stewart, Joseph (Jennifer) Stewart, two daughters; Gloria Stewart, Margarita "Rita" (Lamin) Ceesay, 20 plus grandchildren, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins family and friends that will miss her dearly.

Funeral Service will be held at Blue Ridge Funeral Home on May 3, 2018 at 11:00AM. Visitation for family and friends will be two hours prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
