Hazel "Nanny" Marie (Elder) Naugle

Born December 7, 1942 in Kilsyth, WV; she was a daughter of the late Sherman Elder and the late Myrtle Brizendine Elder.

Nanny loved painting, crocheting, playing badminton when her health allowed, the beach, eagles, angels, butterflies, and her animals. But most of all she loved spending time with her family; and she was a member of Maple Valley Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence "Gene" Naugle; a sister, Rebecca Calvert; and a brother, Donnie Elder.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving children, Brenda Naugle of Maple Fork, Richard Naugle and wife, Pam of NC, and Gail Naugle of Maple Fork; grandchildren, Tara Sanders, Sarah Perry and husband, Stephen, and Michael Naugle; great-grandchildren, Alias Sanders, Cherish Sanders, Haley Burrell, Henry Burrell, and Autumn Burrell; sister, Muriel Daub of PA; brother, Ronald Elder of Beckley; sister, Ila Lane of PA; special niece, Pamela Sue and husband, Wally; several nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.

Services to celebrate the life of Hazel "Nanny" Marie Elder Naugle will be held 3 o'clock PM Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley with Pastor Brad Williams officiating. Friends may gather with the family from 2:00PM until time of the service Sunday at the funeral home.

A private committal service will occur on Monday at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.
