

James was born October 29, 1954, in Beckley, WV; he was a son of the late George J. Bair and the late Francis E. Mullins Bair.
James loved the outdoors, riding his 4-wheeler, dirt bikes, and motorcycles, he loved shooting his guns, music, collecting items, and he loved technology and the gadgets associated with that.
He was a Coal Miner; he worked for 30 years for FMRS in Beckley and was a Past President of the Local Union of the United Steel Workers.
James was of the Pentecostal Faith.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Wilbur and Mahalia Mullins; paternal grandparents, James and Anna Bell Bair; and a sister, Linda Holley.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 16 years, Stella Bair of Daniels; two sons, Jayson Bair and wife, Melanie of Bradley, and Shane Bair of Beckley; daughter, Rebekah Sanders of Bradley; two grandchildren, Drake Bair and Luke Bair; step-daughters, Sheila Miller and husband, Justin of Concord, NC, and Tammy Powers and husband, Brandon of Daniels, WV; a step-son, Bill Lewis and wife, Amanda of Tuscaloosa, AL; a brother, George Bair and wife, Sandra of Prosperity, two sisters, Dianna Shumate and husband, Keith of Beckley, and Sandra Dolin and husband, Randy of Oak Hill; a brother-in-law, Kenny Holley of Beckley; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no formal services, and he will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the 3rd floor Nurses and Doctors at Thomas Memorial Hospital, and to the staff of Bowers Hospice House, for the care and respect that was shown to not only James but also to the family.
