

James Christopher “Chris” Duff James Christopher “Chris” Duff was a self-employed mechanic, bodyman who loved his family and to restore classic cars with them who died unexpectedly in a vehicle accident on December 27, 2014 at the age of 47. He was a resident of Jackson, TN. Chris was born in Ontario, California, on Christmas Day 1967 to Johnny Allen and Connie Joy Duff. Chris is survived by his parents Johnny Allen and Connie Joy Duff; his wife, Laura Duff, his children, Brianna Kris and Courtney Elizabeth Duff all of Indianapolis, IN. He was predeceased by his grandparents James Leonard and Mildred King II of New Albany, IN, and James and Ethel Duff of Sophia, West VA. He is survived by his three sisters Marcella Lou Millinder and Dina Mae Byrd, both of Jackson, TN and Dana Sue Vallon of Denver, CO. He is also survived by his special cousin James Leonard King II who was like a brother to Chris along with seven nieces and nephews, Charles Andrew Millinder, Michael Eric Stovall, Jr, Amber Nicole Faulkner, Jesse Glenn Roberts, Cody James Vallon, Joselina Constance Nancy Roberts and Sydney Danielle Vallon. Chris was an avid car collector. He was a talented artist in his restoration of antique cars. He loved his family and his work, and would go to any lengths to help someone in need. He will be dearly missed by the many people that he influenced in his life. He brightened the room when he came in and his infectious laugh will be dearly missed. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015 from 5pm-7pm in his father’s hometown of Sophia, West VA. Funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on January 3 at the Williams-Blue Ridge Funeral Home at 101 First Street, Sophia, West VA 25921, (304) 683-3216.
