James Ray Meadows

James Ray Meadows, 74, of Beckley, WV, went to be with the Lord on January 1, 2018. Born February 10, 1943 in Skelton, WV, he was the son of the late Henry J. and Via Vera Toney Meadows. Mr. Meadows was a long time member of Pemberton Missionary Baptist Church. He was a proud and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. James enjoyed riding motorcycles and woodworking. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Shelva Hylton. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of over 55 years, Roberta Jane Royal Meadows; sons, Joey Meadows and wife Pamela of Beckley and Jerry Meadows and wife Elizabeth of Beckley; sister, Belva Webb of North Carolina; grandchildren, Dakota Meadows, Samantha Meadows, Morgan Noe and husband Brandon, Bryan Meadows and wife Tara and James Thomas Meadows; great grandchildren, Cye Noe, Dakota Meadows II, Leman Noe, Levi Meadows, Harper Meadows, Alexis Mitchell, Kinley Meadows and Leonah Perdue. Friends may gather with family on Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 6pm to 8pm at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Blue Ridge Funeral Home on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at 1pm with Pastor James Ford officiating. In lieu of flowers the family will accept monetary donation.
