Janice Harris

Mrs. Harris was married to her husband John E. Harris of Beckley for over 57 years.

After retiring as a nurse from Thomas Memorial Hospital in Charleston, Janice spent the rest of her life demonstrating her love for her family as a devoted wife, loving mother, and revered grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister Cindy Snelgrove and brothers Thomas and Daniel Johnson.

She leaves behind her legacy in a family, grateful that God blessed their lives with her, in her husband John, daughters Cheryl Traylor and Rebecca Rains, son John E. Harris II, seven grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Monday June 16, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Blue Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jesse Smith officiating. Friends may gather with the family from 11:00 to 1:00 at the funeral home. Janice will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park Beckley, WV.

Friends and family will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
