Kenneth Rowell

Kenneth Monroe Rowell formerly of Lake, Mississippi, was called home on September 16th 2024. Known to friends and family as Kenny, he served his country with pride during the Vietnam War from 1969-1971. Kenny was born on September 26, 1949, spent most of his life in rural Mississippi but met his "Darling" Charlotte, now his wife in 2013.

Upon relocating to West Virginia to marry Charlotte he once again fell in love, this time with West Virginia. Since that time Kenny became friends with many in his community. Always a smile and warm greeting for all who knew him. Kenny was a member of White Oak Missionary Baptist Church in White Oak, W.VA.

Kenny is survived by his wife Charlotte Rowell of Shady Springs W.VA., stepson Derrick Jenkins of Stanaford, W.VA. Also, his son Kenneth Jerald Rowell also known as "Bo" of Forrest, Mississippi. In addition Kenny leaves behind 3 grandchildren, Austin Rowell, Bethany Mosely, and Brittany Rowell as well as two great grandchildren, Dawson Rowell and Anna Boswell, all from Mississippi. Kenny had two sisters Barbara Wallace and husband George Wallace and Patricia Waller and husband Terry Waller all from Mississippi. He will be greatly missed by all.

Burial with military honors will be at Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veteran's Cemetery (130 Academy Drive Dunbar WV 25064) on Monday, September 30, 2024 at 11:00 am.
