

Born December 31, 1950 in Beckley; she was the daughter of the late Luther Tolbert and Maxine Claypool Tolbert.
Macel loved cooking, crafting, traveling, collecting antiques, spending time with family and friends, and taking care of her son, Scott. She was a member of the Beckley Church of God.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack MacDonald; brothers, Earl and Kermit Claypool; a grandson, Brenton Chase MacDonald; a nephew, Shawn McKinney; and several extended family.
Her survivors include her loving children, Andrew MacDonald and wife, Kim, Scott MacDonald, Ryan MacDonald, and fiancée, Erin Peters, and Dr. Amber MacDonald, all of Beckley; grandchildren, Skylar and Amaya MacDonald of Beckley, and Khloe Kelley of Orange Beach, AL; great-grandson, Maurice Webster, Jr of Beckley; brother, Dallas Kirk and wife, Cathy of Cool Ridge; her partner of 8 years, Benny McVey of Coal City; former daughter-in-law, Heather MacDonald of Beckley; cousin, Wayne Tolbert and wife, Gloria of Beckley; special niece and nephew, whom she helped raise, Ginger and George McKinney; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Her service will be 2:00PM Friday, February 23, 2024 at the Beckley Church of God, 2211 S. Kanawha Street Beckley with Bishop F.D. Sexton officiating. Following the services Macel will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. Andrew MacDonald, Ryan MacDonald, George McKinney, Wayne Tolbert, Jay Quesenberry, and James Jones will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may gather with the family from 11:00AM until time of the service Friday at the church.
