Mary Ann Ruth

Mary Ann Ruth, 67, of Mabscott, West Virginia, passed away on March 15, 2026, at 10:50 a.m. Born August 17, 1958, in Beckley, WV, Mary Ann was faithful, kind-hearted, and compassionate throughout her life. She was a daughter of the late Claude H. Ruth and the late Kathleen Julia Harrah Ruth.

Mary Ann worked for the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office in the clerical department, where she served with quiet dedication and care.

A woman of deep faith, Mary Ann was a member of Jordan Christian Fellowship in Sophia, WV, where she attended with several of her siblings.

Mary Ann found joy in singing with her sisters in a gospel group called the Beckley Gospel Belles, and she also enjoyed working on word searches.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents. Those left to cherish her memory include her loving brother, Danny H. Ruth of Mabscott; three sisters, Debbie K. Harper and husband, Alan, of Beckley, Shelby Morefield and husband, Gary, of Beckley, and Sally McClaugherty and husband, Randy, of Mabscott; several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

A service to celebrate and reflect on her life will be held 6:00 PM on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Jordan Christian Fellowship, 126 Main Street, Sophia, with Pastor Tim Roberts officiating.
