

He was born December 8, 1925 in Eccles, WV. Milburn served in the US Marine Corps December 15, 1942 until November 19, 1945. He as a member of TOKYO BAY OCCUPATION FORCE (TC-31) participated in the initial landing and occupation of the TOKYO BAY AREA and THE CAPTURE OF HIJMS NAGATO which act symbolized the unconditional and complete surrender of the Japanese Navy. He was a member of Bradley Freewill Baptist Church. Milburn was known for his love of fishing, woodworking and all his grandchildren. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Joe Pack; sisters, Mary Forren and Bernice Austin.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 48 years, Margaret A. Pack; sons, Grover Pack and wife Margaret L. of Danese, Charles Hinte and wife Melissa of Scarbro, James Hinte and wife Leesa of Beckley; daughters, Brenda Givens and husband Eric of Mt. Hope, Rita Burnette and husband Charles of Christiansburg, VA; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Friends may gather with the family from 6-8pm Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home.
Services will be held 1pm, Thursday, March 24, 2016 at the funeral home with Rev. Wayne Peters, Pastor Daniel Legg and Pastor Milburn Pack.
Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers the family request donation be made to the Bowers Hospice House (454 Cranberry Dr. Beckley).
