She was born November 18, 1928 in War Eagle, WV to the late Charlie Buchanan and Alta Noe Buchanan.
Mildred was a member of the Glen Daniel Worship Center.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by loving husband, Rennie W. Lowe; daughter, Celia Kay Glanden; three brothers, Chalmar, Robert, and Norman Buchanan; two sisters, Mabel Stapleton, and Hazel Cline; and one grandchild, Reed Horner.
Those left to cherish her memory includes her son, Steve (Sharon) Lowe; three daughters, Mira (Russell) Horner, Roma (Gary) Simmons and Anighta (Richard) Stratton; son-in-law, Dencil Glanden; sister, Geneva Collins; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held at Blue Ridge Funeral Home – 5251 Robert C. Byrd Drive, Beckley, WV on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at 1:00 pm
Friends may gather with the family from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.
Nathan Glanden, Canaan Stratton, Gary Simmons, Steven Hull, Dave Wichard and Andy Bailey will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Hospice of Southern West Virginia for the wonderful service they provided.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donation be made to Bowers Hospice House.
