Noah Reed

Noah Reed, age 87, of Herndon, West Virginia passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025. Born April 18, 1938 at Egeria, he was the son of the late Ike and Ida Shrewsbury Reed. One of 10 children, Noah was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Noah worked a number of years in coal mining and was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors. He was devoted to his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Coy, Owen, Raymond, Sherman and Freeman; as well as his sisters Omie Walker, Glacie Reed, Gracie Brown, and Rebecca Edwards.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Donna Rowe and companion Frank Kincer of Bluefield, WV, son Chester Reed and wife Beatrice of Whittenburg, NC and son Steven Reed and his companion Ann Jones of Herndon.

He is also survived by grandchildren Justin, Casey, Julie, Courtney, Kimberly, Lori and Charlotte and great grandchildren Owen, Olivia, Serenity and Trinity; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and extended family.

A funeral service will be held 12:00PM on Friday, June 13 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Arnie McKinney officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Beckley. Visitation will be held Thursday June 12, 2025 from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.

Justin Hankins, Jamie Mills, Chris Walls, Roger Reed, Michael Reed and Scottie Reed will serve as pallbearers.
