

She was born September 5, 1926 in Beckley, West Virginia. Opal was a member of Hilltop Baptist Church. She worked at Lillys’ Corporate Office through Olsteen and volunteered at Haven of Mercy Store. She loved bowling, flea markets and cooking. She was a wonderful mother and maw-maw.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Wilson; son-in-law, Jerry Allen, Sr; sisters, Pauline Toney, Wanda Carter, Velva Byrd, Leitha Quarles, Dorothy Contezac and Nellie Rice; brothers, Edward Peppers and Frank Peppers.
Those left to cherish her memories include her daughters, Margaret Wilson of White Oak, Betty Wilson Bishop of White Oak, Brenda Wilson of White Oak and Glenna Wilson Allen of Cranberry; son, Perry Wilson of White Oak; grandson, Jerry Allen of White Oak; and a host of nieces and nephews.
You left us so many memories, to us you were dear, no matter when we needed you, we always found you near. You gave us all you had to give. But most of all, you gave us love; the greatest gift of all. You are a wonderful, precious mother. We love you with all our hearts and miss you dearly. You also left behind a precious grandson, who loves you dearly with all his heart and misses you already with his broken heart.
Friends may gather with the family Monday, March 14, 2016, 6-8pm at Blue Ridge Funeral Home.
Services will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2016, 1pm at the funeral home with Terry Dales officiating.
Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Paul Simmons, Mike Rice, Kenny Brogan, Kenny Denney, Jerald Spangler and Rudy Hall serving as pallbearers.
