Rita F. Perdue

On July 4, 2016, Rita Frances Biggs Perdue of Lookout, WV, formerly of Sophia, WV, went home to be with the Lord following a long battle with cancer. Born April 5, 1942 in Lanark, WV. She was a devout Christian and homemaker. She is preceded in death by her parents Roy and Opal Biggs of Mabscott, WV; husband, James E. Perdue of Lookout, WV; sons, Roy D. Perdue of Beckley, WV and Timothy D. Perdue of Sophia, WV; several brothers and sisters. Survivors include daughters, Pamela and Anthony Garrison of Lookout, WV, and Belinda Perdue of Mabscott, WV; sons, Teddy and Linda Perdue of Cherryville, NC; grandchildren, Anna and Sean Hoffer of Winfield, WV, Janina Schoolcraft of Lookout, WV, Melissa Perdue of Charlotte, NC, Jeremy and Becky Perdue of Cherryville, NC, and Zack Ransom of Mabscott, WV; step-grandchildren, Holly Tyree-Miller and David Tyree of Beckley, WV; seven great-grandchildren. Friends may gather with the family, Thursday, July 7, 2016 from 12-2pm at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 2pm. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers are Sean Hoffer, Michael Crites, John Armstrong, Jeremy Perdue and Dean Garrison.
