Heaven has called away another angel. Roy “Davy” Bolen, Jr., 45, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 surrounded by his family and friends. Davy was a graduate of the West Virginia School for the Deaf, class of 1988. Davy loved fishing and NASCAR racing, and spent his time swimming and building model cars. He will be deeply missed, but always in our hearts. Davy was preceded in death by his grandmother, Betty Lou Cook; and his grandparents, Betty and Jack Bolen. He is survived by his mother and father, Roy and Joyce Bolen; sister, Staci Prater and her husband, Jeffrey; niece, Makinzie Prater; step-children, Shawn and Rebecca Gilbert; and his aunt and nephew, Carol and Jason Thompson. Visitation will be held at Blue Ridge Funeral Home on Saturday, April 25 from 1:00pm-2:00pm with funeral services beginning at 2:00pm. Entombment services will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
