Shirley Jean Jones

Shirley loved floral gardening and bird watching. She enjoyed watching her favorite television show “in The Heat of The Night”.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Workman. She is survived by her husband, James “Boppie” Jones; her children, Lynda Souden, James Jones, Jr., Ronald “Ronnie” Jones, and Danny Jones; her nine grandchildren, Alysha Souden, Linsey Carpenter and her husband, Evan, Nicole Monroe and her husband, Allen, Jessica Jones, Danielle Caldwell and her husband, Bobby, James Jones, III, Danny Jones, Jr., Katie Jones and Jenna Jones; 18 great-grandchildren; her brothers and sisters, Sue James, Annita Cook, Roby Workman, Joe Workman, Donna Miller and Marlene Daniels; and her many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 12:30 pm, Tuesday, October 9, 2018 in the Garden of the Last Supper Annex of Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Pastor Denny Hughes and Pastor Okie Slate officiating. A private visitation will be held for the family.
