

He was born November 13, 1924 in Freeburn, KY. Mr. Romeo served in the US Army during WWII. He was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Mr. Romeo was a member of the UMWA, Knights of Columbus, Sierra Club and was a retired Federal Mine Inspector. He enjoyed fishing, shooting pool, spending time with his grandchildren and being with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Jewel Francis Romeo; brother, Joe Romeo.
Those left to cherish his memory include his son, James Samuel Romeo and wife Penny of Kingsport, TN; daughter, Debra Martin and husband Gene of Pemberton, WV; grandchildren, Chris and Toni Romeo, Amy Herron and husband Josh, Beckie Martin Monti and husband Steve and Justin Martin; great-grandchildren, Luke Monti, Olivia Herron and Sophie Herron.
Friends may gather with the family Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home from 6-8pm with a Scripture Service at 7pm.
Funeral service will be held 11am, Monday, November 28, 2016 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church with Father Paul Wharton officiating.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Tony’s name to Hospice of Southern West Virginia, Po Box 1472, Beckley, WV 25802.
