

WILLIAM “BILL” PLESENT PARROTT, JR. William “Bill” Pleasant Parrott, Jr, of Daniels, went home to be with the Lord on February 10, 2015. Born November 29, 1922 in Bardo, KY; he was a son of the lat e William Pleasant Parrott and Virgie Hill Parent. Bill loved to fish, had a great faith in God, he enjoyed watching baseball games especially the Cincinnati Reds. Bill proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp and the United States Army. While in the military he participated in the occupation of China and participated in action against the enemy at Iwo Jima. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Martha Parrott; second wife, Helen Parrott; children, William Patrick Parrott, David Parrott, Brenda Parrott; brothers and sisters, Rev. Beulah Parrott Pack, Rev. James Parrott, Lucille Parrott Conrad, and Ruth Ella Parrott. Those left to cherish his memory include his children, daughter, Sierra Sue Merriel and Robert Lee Parrott; sister, Rev. Emma Jean Perry; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; extended family and friends. Services to celebrate the life of William “Bill” Plesent Parrott, Jr will be held 2:00pm Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley with Rev. Dr. Darrell Lively officiating. Following the services Bill will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.
