He is survived by his loving wife, Lucinda (Meyer) Owensbey; his step-son Seth Rhoades, and his wife Michele and their children Logan, Tristen, Madalyn, and Lucian; step-son Dr. Colin Rhoades, and his wife Tisa; and step-daughter Marian Meyer and her son Dylan. He is also survived by his devoted sister Lisa (Owensbey) Blakeney and his brother-in-law Norman, as well as his cherished niece Grace Blakeney and her significant other Robert. Chuck was a loyal friend to many, including Kenny Womack, whom he considered a brother.
Chuck had a deep love for gardening and was known for his green thumb. He took great joy in sharing his harvest—especially his homemade salsa. He also had a special bond with his dog, Zeus, and was known for his craftsmanship in making unique wooden canes.
There will be a Celebration of Life scheduled for a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you spend time with loved ones as you never know when it will be the last chance that you get.
