I feel blessed to have shared Tom's celebration of life with Bernie and his family. I will always remember his artistic side, but more so, that wonderful smile. How sad to lose such a wonderful man.

I will always remember Uncle Tom who was so fun loving and always laughing. I as many others am grateful to have a beautiful painting he created, as well as all the memories at Family gatherings.

When the news of Tom’s sudden illness reached me in Japan, I couldn’t believe thatTom, who was always the picture of health any time we met, could be so ill. I cannot even imagine how hard it has been for you, Bernie, and for Tom’s family to live these days of pain and loss.  Like other members of my family, I, too, am a recipient of the beauty that Tom has put on canvas and value the paintings of the “Bay”, our home in Prince Edward Island, and his feather painting .  But more than anything else, I will remember Tom’s jovial presence among us at family gatherings in Prince Edward Island,  and the image of him painting in the early morning at his home when I had the privilege of visiting Kingsville. My heart and prayers are with you as you say farewell.


  To have a man of such talent taken from us is so sad and untimely. All though I  only enjoyed his company on visits to our P.E.I community on holiday occasions seeing him enjoy the experience of deep sea fishing for Mackeral [something he never heard of] certainly will stay with  me forever

To the family of Tom Spicer,

 I was very sorry to hear about Tom's passing. He was a gifted artist, one who shared his talents with the 1814 Battle of North Point community. His paintings told detailed stories- especially the nearly 14' foot long work that depicted upper Bear Creek. This 
beautiful painting showed Tom's passion for history. His curious  spirit and creativity will be remembered by many. Tom will be missed.

I am so saddened by the passing of my dear Uncle. I love you and will miss you dearly. I will aways remember  your smiling, happy face. So artistic  and always made people laugh.  I will remember our wonderful, fun, family get togethers.  You could build anything and draw anything.  You and Aunt Susan raised two beautiful daughters.  So glad I have a beautiful painted feather in a frame and hanging in my home that was painted by you. You will be missed by all! You are in my heart. Love you and rest in peace.  


  Am so sorry that my dear sister Bernie has lost Tom.  It was so great that some of us could be at their wedding, which seems so long ago but is imprinted in my memory.  I enjoyed the opportunities to visit Bernie and Tom when I happened to be fortunate enough to have a reason to be in the US . There I had a really good opportunity to observe Tom painting and see so much of his work.  And every day now I look often at his beautiful painting of our parish church in St. Peters Bay which is hanging in a prominent place on my wall.  When I think of Tom though, I mostly think of a "teddy bear man" who was very loving and kind.  So sorry everyone for your loss.
