Christopher Joseph Strauch of Abingdon, Maryland, was a caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, and dear friend to many. He passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024 at age 63. He was the son of the late Carolyn and Francis Strauch, and dear nephew of Frederick Strauch and wife Margaret; and Thomas Strauch. While growing up in Catonsville, MD, Christopher graduated from his beloved Loyola Blakefield (Go Dons) in Towson, MD, and went on to attend and graduate from Towson State University.
Christopher loved watching the sunrise while at the beach, playing golf, cheering on the Baltimore Ravens, and enjoying a dozen of steamed crabs. Christopher is survived by his beloved wife, Cynthia Strauch; sons Gregory Henderson and Stephen Henderson; grandson Gregory Henderson, Jr.; brother Eric Strauch and his wife Debbie. Christopher is also survived by his nephew Caeden Zinkand Strauch, goddaughter Tess Harris, nephew Christopher Wright and his wife Vondaelir, their children Jecha, Jerah, and Jata, nephew Curtis (Shawn) Letterlough and his partner Kassandra Morton and their son Kayden, cousins Kenyatta Surgeon, Kawanna Washington, and Monique Surgeon, and extended family and friends.
A visitation for Christopher will be held MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 30, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Schimunek Funeral Home of Bel Air, Inc., 610 W MacPhail Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on MONDAY, October 7, 2024 at 11 AM at St Agnes Church, 5422 Old Frederick Rd, Baltimore, MD 21229. Interment private. If desired contributions may be made in his memory to Loyola- Blakefield 500 Chestnut Ave, Towson, MD 21204 or to Mercy Medical Center 348 St. Paul Street Baltimore, MD 21202.
