Rest in Peace, dear Godfather! As my siblings have mentioned, we were so lucky to live next store to Vinny and Mary and all the Zareks! What fun memories we have of playing on the hill and hearing someone (was it Big Vinny or little Vinny?) singing in the shower through the open window! Vinny, Mary, John and Alan...be well - your parents were truly caring, loving and just wonderful! No doubt they are together in heaven!

So many great memories growing up next door! Our prayers with your whole family. You may not remember, but your dad actually got me my first job! He connected me with the advertising department at Hochschild-Kohn. The Miller's couldn't have had better neighbors.

So sad to hear the loss of your Dad. As a child growing up next door to the Zareks ... I was a lucky girl.Your Mom & Dad were the BEST neighbors my parents could have. They spent so much time together: playing cards, going to parties, church events & traveling overseas. I loved that I reaped the rewards of the well maintained gardens as well. Have wonderful memories of your Dad & Mom I will ALWAYS cherish. I'm sure there's a Pinochle game going on right now between our parents. You are all in my thoughts & prayers. As Terry said, there are so many memories of your Mom and Dad from when we first met in the neighborhood including when they visited me in Germany with my Mom and Dad. So many conversations and good times were shared. I enjoyed viewing the photo gallery and seeing your Dad through the years. Know that he is at peace and reunited with your Mom. I work at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center and it was always a pleasure to chat with Vinny on the days he volunteered.  I am sorry to hear of his passing and I extend my deepest condolences to his family.  He was a very nice man.

I'm heartbroken to hear of "Big Vinny's" passing. I loved that man, and his love and affectionfor me over the years meant so much. I know he missed his Mary very much, and he can now rest with her. 

I affectionately extend my deepest sympathy to all of Vinny's family. I pray God's strength and comfort be with you during what I know is a really hard time. I hold you all in my heart and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear of Vinny's passing. He was a man with great stories and person that treated each person with respect. I met him as a volunteer at the Upper Chesapeake hospital. I enjoyed our daily discussions about the O'so and our "disputes" when the Ravens and Steelers played.. I will forever value my friendship with him.

Rest peacefully my friend. You always brighten my days! Your love of your family, friends will continue on as ours will for you. I am a better person for having had you in my life!

May God grant you comfort & peace during this difficult time.  Grandpa was a remarkable man.  We loved him.

Dear Grandpa - we will miss you. I will always remember you dancing up a storm at the wedding. Thank you for welcoming me into the family.

I work at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, where "Vinny" volunteered. It was always a joy to be around him, and we shared a lot of laughs. He will be missed very much.

I was honored to be his friend in later years. We enjoyed each other's company as we performed our volunteer work at Upper Chesapeake. Vinnie had a great if quiet sense of humor which we all enjoyed. His food criticisms were on many occasions hilarious. He was a very sentimental man whose devotion to his departed wife, Mary, was telling. I will miss him as a friend, associate and most importantly as his adopted brother. Rest with the angels dear friend.

To my wonderful Dad, You will always be in my heart. I already miss you terribly but with family and friends we will hopefully rally. Please look down upon us along with Mom and guide us while we are here.
